The entire vocabulary of the house is contained in two signs, designed by Georges Vuitton in 1896: the intertwined LV initials and the four-petaled Monogram flower. Since then, Louis Vuitton has continuously extracted them from the canvas to turn them into objects in their own right—buckles, buttons, clasps, and this family of charms that isolates them and gives them volume. It is the logo stripped of all context: no more luggage, no more canvas, just the emblems.
This model offers a particularly colorful take. The large LV initials are treated in two tones—a gold L, a metallic pink V—and the Monogram flower, set as an overlay, plays with an iridescent blue-violet finish whose reflections shift with the light. The snap hook and ring remain in classic gold-tone metal, with the Louis Vuitton signature engraved in the metal plate. An intentional contrast between the sobriety of the clasp and the exuberance of the charms.
This is an accessory with triple utility. Clipped to the handle of a bag, it completely changes its mood; attached to the belt loop of trousers or jeans, it wears like a belt accessory; used alone, it acts as a key ring. The spring snap hook allows you to move it from one object to another in a second. With its 10 × 3.5 cm size, it has just the right amount of presence without ever becoming cumbersome.
